Clean Coal & Oil Shale Gasification

Oil shale has a higher oil content than rock in a conventional oil resevoir: one ton of oil shale can produce more than 25 gallons of oil. As a result, American oil shale reserves provide the most concentrated hydrocarbon resource in the world and contain more oil than the entire Middle East combined.

As to the coal market, both the United States and China have coal reserves sufficient to power those countries for centuries. It is quite likely that as petroleum production continues to decrease, that coal will play a more significant role.

Most experts agree that coal and oil shale will play a key role in our nation’s energy future. And when the choice is between paying foreign nations for oil and using the domestic resources we have available right here in the United State, many believe that the choice is clear.
